Golf at Bailey's Day 2026

BAILEY’S DAY 2026 GOLF FORMAT – 4-Players Gentsomes

How to play GENTSOMES (Modified Ambrose/ Best 2 out of 4 Stableford).

  1. All players hit the ball from the Tee. As in a normal Ambrose event, the best ball is selected, and all players drop their ball within 1 club length of where the original ball lay. If the chosen ball is in the rough or a hazard, then the other balls are to be dropped in the same area.
  2. *A minimum of 2 drives per player (excludes Par 3’s)
  3. From this point on, all players play out the hole as per a normal Stableford round, then record individual scores.
  4. On Par 3’s every player plays their own ball (i.e... No selected drive) and the best 2 scores are recorded. 

At the completion of each hole, best two stableford scores of each hole are recorded and count for the Team Event.
